St Michael’s Vineyard was established by Mick Cann in 1994 with the first planting of 2000 Shiraz vines.
Winemaking at St Michael's Vineyard is traditional with open vat fermentation, hand plunging of skins and basket pressing is used to obtain maximum colour extraction. Cooling backup is available if needed. The wines are tank settled prior to oak maturation for up to 24 months. Mainly French oak is used with some Russian on the Shiraz. A percentage of new oak is used each year. We are open by appointment only.
