Located in the coveted south end of Heathcote the vines nestle in the sought after granitic soil amongst dramatic scenery of large granite boulders, majestic rolling hills and imposing gullies all framed by the Great Dividing Range.
Established in 1999 Mia Valley Estate is a boutique family owned vineyard and winery. We grow mainly Shiraz with some Cabernet Sauvignon and so far have produced some of the most amazingly elegant and complex wines from our two vineyards in Mia Mia.
Each year grapes for Syrahmi are sourced and selected from a different vineyard in the Heathcote region. Thus each year the wine’s I make are given different name to reflect the vintage.
A sign on the gate of the Conforti Estate Vineyard, on the Burke & Wills Track near Mia Mia, states that it is the home of the grapes used in Occam’s Razor Shiraz.
Kennedy Vineyard was planted to Shiraz vines in 2002 and the first vintage was produced in 2005. We are thrilled with the quality of this wine and the feedback we have received.
Since 1996 owner & vigneron Peter Dredge has been making powerful yet elegant wines from one of the oldest vineyards in arguably the most famed Shiraz area in Australia - Heathcote.
The 40 hectare Greenstone Vineyard is situated north of the town of Heathcote at Colbinabbin, about a 90 minutes drive north of Melbourne. Twenty hectares are under vine.
Flynns Wines are situated 13kms North of the Heathcote township on the Northern Highway, on the way to Echuca, Lewis Road is on the left (coming from Melbourne) with signage on the corner of Lewis Road and the Northern Highway.
