At Domaine Asmara, we are known for our small range of premium red and white wines. We're not a huge winery. In fact, we're pretty small. We don't spend a fortune on marketing. In fact, we spend hardly anything.
We don't have a heap of fancy equipment or a big staff. In fact, there is only a few of us doing all the work. But the one thing we don't compromise on is our wine. Everything we do is dedicated to producing exceptional wines.
We spend our days tending our vines by hand. There's no machine intervention here (except for a pair of secateurs if you can call that a machine). In fact, the only thing that intervenes is Mother Nature. You could say our wine is bio-dynamic. We like to say, let Mother Nature do it's work on simply great vines.
Our job as custodians of these great vines is to get the grapes picked and crushed at the right time, and to get them in the best barrels to age to perfection. And it's our great pleasure to then sample them frequently to decide when they are right to go in the bottle.
We make great wines, don't take our word for it.
Domaine Asmara was honoured to be one of James Halliday's 5 star wineries in 2011 - 2015 and the prestigious Top 10 New Wineries in Australia in 2011.
